Partridge maintains an ongoing partnership with Moth Design, a Melbourne-based studio delivering immersive interiors and temporary installations for the hospitality and events sectors. Our role is to resolve the structural requirements of bespoke elements so that creative intent is supported by durability, stability and efficient construction. For the Asahi booth at the Australian Open, we engineered a series of lightweight components forming a temporary terrace installation. The steel pergola was designed to achieve wide spans within a slim profile, with connections detailed to manage wind actions and facilitate rapid installation. The timber terrace platform was engineered for stiffness and stability under foot traffic, using a system that enabled efficient on-site assembly.
