Partridge provided structural design for the refurbishment of a community swimming pool in Galston, NSW. The project included a new roof, a family changing room, and a multi-purpose accessible changing area. Our team collaborated closely with architects and builders to ensure the safety of the existing concrete pool and the new timber and steel truss roof. To address manufacturing and transport constraints for the glulam beams, a precise splice connection with 40 steel pins was implemented on-site. 3D modeling ensured seamless coordination between steel and timber fabricators. The nine-metre-high concrete columns were cast in-situ, with temporary propping untilnthe roof framing provided lateral restraint.
