This complex project involved the restoration and fusion of two neighbouring dwellings—a heritage-listed house and its semi-detached counterpart. To seamlessly integrate the structures, we conducted thorough soil investigations and implemented a new foundation design incorporating existing elements. We prioritized strengthening the existing framework while strategically altering load paths for a cost-effective solution. The design of the pergola and steel window reveals exemplified meticulous attention to detail, combining functionality with aesthetic harmony. CHS columns and a PFC beam formed the pergola, while steel shop drawings and fixings ensured both structural integrity and visual appeal in the window reveals. This project demonstrates our expertise in foundation integration, structural reinforcement, and detail-oriented steelwork design, working closely with the architects to deliver a solution that delighted the homeowners.
