Sculpture by the Sea Cottesloe returned in 2026, and Partridge was proud to support the event as both sponsor and part of the Structural Engineering Review Panel. From early planning through to final inspection, we worked closely with artists, installers and organisers to review each artwork for safety, stability and buildability, considering wind loading, site conditions, materials and public interaction. Highlights included Reef Reverie by Rockefeller Studios, a vibrant walk-through coral installation; Anton Lord’s Sea Grass, a field of 6.2m-high moving elements; Vaughn Bisschops’ contemporary stained-glass work; and Simon Harris’ kinetic sculpture Cuore Bello. Across the Cottesloe foreshore, each piece required careful structural thinking to balance creative intent with the demands of an exposed coastal environment.
