Partridge acted as structural engineers on a major alteration and addition to an existing home in Randwick. Working with architect Ahron Best Architects and builder Michael Fakhoury (Buildax), the design pursued large, open internal spaces with minimal walls, requiring steel framing, long spans, and carefully positioned beams and columns. Large openings, high ceilings, and a curved roof form reduced available wall support and demanded close coordination. Additional loads from planter boxes and concealed elements were resolved through targeted strengthening, delivering a buildable and reliable structural solution.
