For the revitalisation of Light Horse Park in Liverpool, Partridge provided hydraulic engineering services that addressed the site’s unique conditions and supported its transformation into a resilient, inclusive urban park. Working with Gallagher Studio, MW Architects, and Cred Consulting for Liverpool City Council, we developed a stormwater management plan and level design that integrated water-sensitive urban design strategies with the broader river network. Detailed assessment and modelling informed solutions for the community hub, playground, outdoor gym, picnic areas, parking, and overland flows from the adjacent railway corridor. These systems promote native riparian planting, enable long-term erosion control, and enhance ecological function. Our work ensured stormwater infrastructure was seamlessly embedded in the masterplan, balancing technical performance with accessibility and environmental sensitivity.
