A Year of Growth and Impact
As we bid farewell to another remarkable year, its an opportune time to take stock of the milestones and achievements of the Partridge team in 2023. From welcoming new key staff members to making significant contributions to the community and industry, 2023 has been a year of growth, purpose, and accomplishment.
Community Impact
In the spirit of growth and community, we were delighted to announce the appointment of three talented associates. Moreover, our Partridge Families have expanded with the arrival of a new baby engineer, and another on the way shortly.
Our Lifeblood initiative reached new heights, saving a total of 108 lives so far. Our commitment to making a positive impact extends beyond our immediate surroundings. During Movember, we rallied together and raised an impressive $2,477 to support men’s health initiatives.
This year also saw our team participating in the City East College Mock interviews, where we played a crucial role in helping recent migrants gain valuable interview experience to enhance their employment prospects. Additionally, our involvement in the City to Surf fundraising event for Engineers without Borders showcased our dedication to making a difference on a global scale.
The heartwarming experience of contributing to Habitat for Humanity and the joyous Pre-school day further underscored our commitment to building a better, more inclusive world.
Business Achievements
In the business arena, Partridge once again shone. Our projects, Pocket Passiv (Timber Awards), Treetops House and Ravine House (Concrete Awards), received well-deserved recognition. Treetops House, in particular, marked a decade of wins by clinching an unprecedented consecutive 5th biennial award at the national level.
We collaborated on many exciting projects this year including, but certainly not limited to, the Melbourne Zoo with a unique elephant herd transportation (among others), the impressive Powerhouse Museum doors, numerous luxury houses, heritage buildings and remediating over 100 buildings including the MCA roof and the Skittles factory.
This year, we also embarked on the impressive journey of revitalisation with our fifth logo in 40 years, reflecting our commitment to innovation and staying true to our core values.
Continued Industry Contributions
Our dedication to advancing the industry was further demonstrated through our active involvement in education and professional development. We took pride in lecturing on a Heritage engineering course, sharing our knowledge and experience with the next generation of engineers.
Maintaining strong partnerships with ACSE, MBA, and AIA, we continued to deliver numerous CPD talks and seminars. Our expanded internship program provides aspiring professionals with valuable hands-on experience, contributing to the growth of our industry.
Conclusion
It’s evident that 2023 has been a year of growth, impact, and collective achievement for Partridge and we thank each of you for your support, friendships and collaboration. We are excited about the future and remain committed to pushing boundaries, making a positive difference in our community, and leaving an indelible mark on the engineering landscape.
Cheers to another year of growth and success!
