Architect: DKO
Builder: Dynamic Projects
Location: Cammeray, NSW
At Riserva Cammeray, Partridge provided structural engineering services to support the delivery of a finely detailed residential building designed by DKO Architecture. The structure comprises reinforced concrete slabs and walls, with slender floor plates and cantilevered balcony elements designed to achieve the architectural vision while maintaining strength, stiffness, and durability. Partridge’s work focused on developing efficient structural solutions that accommodated large glazed openings and open plan living areas without excessive transfer structures.
This required careful modelling of load paths through the building and close coordination with the architect to maintain ceiling heights and minimise visible structural depth. Particular attention was given to the cantilevered balconies and façade edges, where deflection control, movement joints, and waterproofing interfaces demanded
precise detailing. The team also considered construction staging and concrete shrinkage behaviour to manage long term movement and maintain façade alignment.

Through close collaboration with the design and the Dynamic Projects construction team, Partridge helped ensure that the structural system supports both the architectural and functional requirements of the development, delivering a robust and buildable outcome suited to its coastal setting.
