Partridge was involved in an extensive upgrade at Tom Wills Oval, an Australian Rules football pitch beside the Greater Western Sydney (GWS) training centre. This project with Johannsen & Associates, wasn’t just about adding new facilities, it was about integrating functional infrastructure into the iconic landscape of Sydney Olympic Park.
The new amenities block, which doubles as a storage facility, involved a range of services: we provided design, engineering drawings, and site supervision, overseeing erosion and sediment control, certification of infiltration systems, installation of effluent pipes, plumbing, and drainage.
Located along Australia Avenue, Tom Wills Oval is surrounded by historic Olympic elements, like the conical entrance marker and gabion retaining walls, so our design carefully considered these features to minimize visual impact. Partridge Structural led the design for the amenities block, while Partridge Hydraulic managed stormwater and civil elements to ensure resilience and sustainability.
By using materials and forms that blend with the existing landscape, Partridge created a functional, community-focused space that respects Sydney Olympic Park’s legacy, a project we’re proud to have delivered.
