Livvi’s Place playgrounds are designed to create inclusive play spaces where children of all abilities can have fun together. The Elara playground, located in Sydney’s northwest, is part of this wonderful initiative.
Partridge had the opportunity to contribute to this project by providing structural engineering services for several key play elements, working closely with Architects of Arcadia.
Our role included designing and detailing a custom concrete slide with its supporting steel frame, as well as designing two custom timber bench seats—one featuring oar-shaped timbers. We also set out and designed the reinforcement for a unique concrete bike track.
Our team also engineered the footing systems for several dynamic play elements, including a rocking cubby, and a sandstone climbing rock, ensuring they are both safe and stable for children to enjoy.
The Elara playground is the result of a strong collaboration between Partridge and Architects of Arcadia, with a shared focus on creating a safe and engaging community space. We’re proud to have played a role in bringing this inclusive playground to life, reinforcing our commitment to delivering structural engineering solutions for community projects.
