Partridge played a significant role in the construction of the Deepwater Apartments in North Bondi, NSW. This six-storey multi-residential project showcased large-span concrete floors with intricate load transfers at each storey. The project stood out for its extensive use of off-form concrete facades, contributing to its architectural appeal. Overcoming the challenges of a highly confined site, our engineers successfully executed the complex excavation works up to the boundaries. Additionally, we designed the building’s sea wall to act as a wave return, ensuring the safety and protection of the property against the forces of the ocean.

Our team were excited to be on this exceptional project featuring extensive off-form concrete, large spans, and post-tensioned concrete to optimize the panoramic harbour views. The basement was expertly excavated into Sydney sandstone, showcasing the natural sandstone walls and creating a unique cavernous ambiance. The team’s careful planning and attention to detail resulted in an apartment building that captures the essence of Watsons Bay and offers residents breathtaking views and a distinctive living experience.

Overlooking the beautiful Main Beach, ‘The Surf’ is Yamba’s first boutique hotel. Partridge designed all the structural elements from the foundations, to the concrete frame, masonry walls, and feature masonry screens on the western façade, the pergola on the roof terrace, awnings, custom glass balustrades, and bespoke aluminium privacy screens. This intimate 12 room hotel offers an impressive rooftop pool and decking with breathtaking views up the coastline. Given the close proximity to the beach, durability was a key factor in ensuring the concrete elements we designed are maintenance free for the life span of the building.
