With an extremely tight time frame of 8 weeks from design brief to delivery, we succeeded in providing structural and mechanical design, documentation, testing and project management. Each seven metre diameter ring was required to ‘explode’ artificial snow in 360o. The total structure measured 20m x 12m, and could not exceed 1.5 tonnes to prevent damage to the Olympic Stadium roof. Designed to disassemble, this allowed transportation by air freight to Canada.

Positioned at the entrance of Kai Tak, Hong Kong Airport is this hand-formed and mirror-polished stainless steel, 3.5m tall sculpture. Our team assisted with the finite element analysis of the sculpture and the design of internal stiffening plates and base connections.

Partridge ensured the structural integrity of this giant inflatable baseball which floated down the Panama Canal, celebrating the release of Sech Music’s new album. Transporting the 10-metre- round baseball required a platform that used four tonnes of concrete, and a four-by-five-metre high truss structure, secured with straps, cables, and much engineering ingenuity by the Partridge team.
