With an extremely tight time frame of 8 weeks from design brief to delivery, we succeeded in providing structural and mechanical design, documentation, testing and project management. Each seven metre diameter ring was required to ‘explode’ artificial snow in 360o. The total structure measured 20m x 12m, and could not exceed 1.5 tonnes to prevent damage to the Olympic Stadium roof. Designed to disassemble, this allowed transportation by air freight to Canada.
